The Irregular at Magic High School Season 3 reveals images and trailer for obstacle course, new ending theme song

A key image and PV trailer have been released for The Irregular at Magic High School Season 3, which kicks off the “Obstacle Course” next week on May 3, 2024.
The 30-second trailer highlights Tatsuya Shiba and his friends preparing to face a new threat. It also revealed the anime's new ending theme song “Snow Noir” performed by the band Sangatsu no Phantasia.

According to the series' Blu-ray and DVD listings, the Steeplechase Season is expected to last four episodes and will be followed by the Old City Uprising Season, which will last five episodes.
Jimmy Stone (The Irregular at Magic High School: Visitor's Arc and The Irregular at Magic High School: Reminiscence Arc) is directing the third installment, with Lightworks' Muneo Nakamoto (The Irregular at Magic High School: Visitor's Arc and The Irregular at Magic High School: Reminiscence Arc) is the writer, Kana Ishida (The Irregular at Magic High School series) is the character designer and animation director, Asumi Hashimoto (The Irregular at Magic High School: Visitor's Arc and The Irregular at Magic High School: Reminiscence Arc co-animator) as supporting character designer, and Taku Iwasaki (The Irregular at Magic High School series) as composer.

Eight Bit is once again in charge of animation production after working on the animated films The Irregular at Magic High School The Movie: The Girl Who Calls the Stars, The Irregular at Magic High School: The Visitor Part and The Part Abnormalities at Magic High School: Flashback. Madhouse is in charge of producing the first season of the anime.
The series originally began as a web novel by Tsutomu Sato on Shosetsuka ni Naro from October 12, 2008 to March 21, 2011. It was later published as a light novel series by the publisher Dengeki Bunko by ASCII Media Works with new illustrations by Kana Ishida on July 10, 2011 until September 10, 2020. A total of 32 volumes were released, along with six additional spin-off volumes.
A sequel series titled The Irregular at Magic High School Magian Company began in October 2020. Another spin-off series titled New – The Irregular at Magic High School: Maidens of Cygnus began in January 2021 The series has also inspired several manga and video game adaptations.
