Grendizer U is coming soon. The second trailer for the anime has been released and reveals that the series will begin airing this July, while also previewing the opening theme song “Kaishin no Ichigeki” from GLAY.

Grendizer began in the 70s with the animated television series UFO Robot Grendizer Raids directed by Toei Animation produced, aired from 1975 to 1977 with 74 episodes. Co-created by Go Nagai and Dynamic Prothis event takes place in the same setting as Nagai's previous co-creations Mazinger Z and Great Mazinger.

After its release, the Grendizer robot also appeared in games such as UFO Robot Grendizer v. Great Mazinger and Grendizer, Getta Robot G., Great Mazinger: The Decisive Battle! Giant sea animals. While the original series was airing, a manga version was serialized from 1975 to 1977 in TV Magazine. Nagai is in charge of the first eight chapters, while Yuu Okazawa (Mobile Suit Gundam comic [phiên bản Bouken Ou]) is in charge of chapters 9 to 18.
