“Berserk” had quite a tumultuous journey when it was adapted into an anime. It all started in 1997 with the series that introduced us to the intense world of Guts and the Band of the Hawk.

However, subsequent adaptations failed to live up to the lofty standards set by creator Kentaro Miura, leaving many fans disappointed. While there has been no official confirmation of a new anime series for this intense series, fans are taking matters into their own hands, imagining what the second season of the original series will have in store.

Fans recreate the amazing Berserk season 2

Adapting “Berserk” to the screen was no easy feat, considering Miura's masterpiece status in the anime world. Beginning his epic saga in the 1980s, Miura has spent decades crafting a tale of swords, magic and unyielding brutality.

His sudden passing in 2021 left fans mourning, but writer Kouji Mori and the artists at Studio Gaga have pledged to continue Miura's legacy, promising to end Guts' journey with his notes and discussions. While there's no hint as to when the final chapter will appear, the series is expected to continue this month, continuing Guts' tragic story.

Enter “Berserk” Season 2, courtesy of Arche Studios, a fan-driven effort filled with love for the franchise. This new episode picks up where the '90s series left off, following Guts as he continues his search for Griffith while traversing the countryside.

Despite surviving a harrowing Eclipse orchestrated by the Godhand, Guts realizes that his troubles are far from over.

Up to now, no studio has come forward to make a new anime adaptation of Miura's masterpiece. The last glimpse anime fans got of Guts, Griffith, Casca and company came through “Berserk: Memorial Edition,” a series that compiled footage from the long-running trilogy. If Berserk officially returns to the small screen, fans' expectations will definitely skyrocket.
