Chainsaw Man creator Tatsuki Fujimoto's upcoming Look Back anime film has released its full trailer and key visuals ahead of its June 28, 2024 release date.

YouTube channel Avex Pictures has released the full trailer for the upcoming film Look Back, directed by Kiyotaka Oshiyama (who is also responsible for writing the script, character design, and much of the film's animation). You can check out the trailer, trailer thumbnails, and key art below.

The Merc with a Mouth has the power of God and anime on his side, as the new Deadpool comic coming out in April features an homage to Chainsaw Man.

Featured in the trailer are Mizuki Yoshida as Kyomoto and Yumi Kawai as Ayumu Fujino, both of whom will make their debut as voice actors for the anime. “Light Song” by musical director Haruka Nakamura can be heard in the background performed by Urara. Joining directors Oshiyama and Nakamura are Look Back staff Kiyoshi Samejima (art director), Yoshio Harisaki and Takashi Omori (assistant art directors), Maya Kusumoto (color designer), Kazuto Izumita ( director of photography), Kiyoshi Hirose (editor) and Eriko Kimura (sound director), with Studio Durian's Look Back animation and Avex Pictures responsible for distribution.

While Chainsaw Man's Fujimoto is usually quick to share his favorites, recently recommending a manga by Tsutomu Nihei, he's not holding back his excitement for Oshiyama's direction. . “Director Kiyotaka Oshiyama, a monstrous animator known to every anime enthusiast, is directing this adaptation,” he said in the Lookback announcement. “As an anime fan myself, I am eagerly looking forward to seeing this work become a reality.” Chainsaw Man himself will also get a theatrical film, with the first Reze arc trailer hinting at a slightly different art style than Part 1.
