Happinet has revealed the addition of three new voice actors to the upcoming film The Strongest Magician in the Demon Lord's Army is a human anime television series. The film will premiere in Japan around July 2024.

New cast members include Manatsu Murakami as Alistair, Yumi Uchiyama as Fiorentina, Choo as Romberg. They join the main cast led by:

Norihiko Nagahama (I Somehow became stronger as I improved my farm-related skills) will direct the anime along with Toko Machida (I Somehow became stronger as I (I Improve My Farm related) as series writer, Masami Sueoka (I Somehow Became Stronger as I Improved My Farm Related Skills) is character designer and KOHTA YAMAMOTO (Chained Soldier, co-composed Attack on Titan Final Season) as music composer. Studio A-CAT is responsible for producing the animation.

The original light novel was written by Ryosuke Hata and illustrated by KUMA and published by Futabasha from September 30, 2016 to April 27, 2018. A total of five volumes were released during its publication under the label Monster Bunko. It is based on the web novel series first released on Shosetsuka ni Naro on February 22, 2016.

A manga adaptation of Anajiro was first serialized on Futabasha's Gaugau Monster website on July 12, 2019. Ten tankobon volumes have been released as of January 2024. Happinet has stated that the anime adaptation will be based on the manga of the original novel series.

Happinet briefly describes the strongest Mage in the demon king's army as a human:

Ike was known as “the strongest magician in the demon king's army” and single-handedly conquered fortresses.
