A new original anime movie for The Quintessential Quintuplets was announced during the series' 5th Anniversary Event at Yokohama Arena on April 28, 2024. The new film will be an original story never before seen in the manga, following Futaro's honeymoon adventure Uesugi with all five Nakano brothers.

The film will be directly supervised by mangaka Negi Haruba. Haruba not only drafted original story ideas for the anime, but also oversaw every aspect of production.

The Quintessential Quintuplets is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Negi Haruba. It was serialized in Kodansha's Weekly Shonen Magazine from August 2017 to February 2020, with the chapters collected into fourteen tankobon volumes.

An anime television series adaptation produced by Tezuka Productions aired from January to March 2019 on TBS and other television channels. The second season produced by Bibury Animation Studios aired from January to March 2021. A sequel to the second season, Movie The Quintessential Quintupletswas released as a film in May 2022. An anime television special produced by Shaft premiered in September 2023.
