The episode delves into the tense aftermath of the clash between Luffy and Rob Lucci, in which Sentomaru was caught in the crossfire. When Luffy noticed Sentomaru's injuries, he ran to his side to check on him, only to be relieved that the marine was still conscious despite being attacked. Sentomaru reveals that he sensed Lucci's impending attack but was unable to fully defend himself. However, his consciousness means that the Seraphim units remain loyal to Vegapunk's cause, much to CP0's dismay.

As Luffy charged towards Lucci, the two opponents clashed once again. Lucci lands a blow on Luffy, sending him flying away. When Lucci was about to attack Sentomaru again, Luffy intervened just in time, delivering a powerful kick to hinder Lucci's attack. However, Luffy's momentum causes him to drill into the ground, momentarily incapacitating him.
