On January 19, 2024, the live-action film adaptation of Golden Kamuy was released in theaters in Japan. Months after its domestic release, the mature-rated historical action series will soon be available on Netflix worldwide.

In a new trailer uploaded by Netflix Asia, the live-action film Golden Kamuy will make its international debut on Netflix on May 19, four months after its initial release in Japan. The film is based on the Weekly Young Jump series by Japanese manga artist Satoru Noda. Shigeaki Kubo is directing the live-action film, with Tsutomu Kuroiwa as screenwriter and Yutaka Yamada as film composer. Hiroshi Nakagawa and Deko Akibe are credited as the Ainu overseeing the film, while CREDEUS is listed as the production company. The new trailer can be seen below, along with stills from the film.

After the film's successful theatrical release in Japan, a live-action Golden Kamuy television series featuring the same film cast will premiere in the fall and continue where the story left off. There are currently four seasons of the Golden Kamuy anime. The final installment to conclude the series has been confirmed for June 2023.
