In a surprising development, a senior official of the Kyoto District Legal Office has found himself in legal trouble on suspicion of assault, following an incident in which he allegedly grabbed and kicked his subordinate Oshi No Ko manga spoilers.

The incident prompted Kyoto Prefectural Police to prosecute the man in his 50s for assault.

According to sources familiar with the matter, the assault occurred on February 1, 2024, and took place during a normal conversation at the Uji Branch office of the Kyoto Prefectural Legal Bureau, where the defendant was stationed. army at that time.

They revealed that during the conversation, subordinates who were also in their 50s talked about the development of manga Oshi no Ko.

The defendant reportedly became visibly agitated upon hearing the manga reveal, expressing extreme disappointment when major plot points were revealed. His anger allegedly escalated to the point where he confronted his subordinate, grabbed him by the collar and kicked him in the waist.

Although the subordinate was not injured, he filed a complaint with the Uji Police Station, causing the subordinate to file a complaint. investigation by law enforcement. Then, on April 30, 2024, the Kyoto Prefectural Police made the decision to refer a supervisor to prosecute assault-related charges.

The accused officer, currently working at the main office of the Kyoto Bureau's District Legal Department, now faces legal consequences as the case continues.

Responding to questions related to this issue, the Legal Department stated: “We do not comment because the matter is under investigation.”

Oshi no Ko is a Japanese manga series written by Aka Akasaka and illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari. It has been serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Young Jump since April 2020, with the chapters collected into 14 tankobon volumes as of April 2024.
