Hiroshi Kamiya and Tomokazu Sugita join the cast of Kinnikuman Perfect Origin Arc

Voice actors Hiroshi Kamiya and Tomokazu Sugita will voice the upcoming Kinnikuman Perfect Origin Arc television anime series. The anime will premiere in Japan in July 2024.

Kamiya will voice the leader of the Six Demon Knights Ashuraman, while Tomokazu Sugita will voice the villain Neptuneman.

The original Kinnikuman manga series was created by the creative duo Yudetamago and serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump on May 26, 1979 until May 4, 1987. The manga returned with a sequel was revived and is currently serialized in Shupure NEWS as of 2011. A total of 84 tankobon volumes have been released under the Jump Comics label as of March 2024.

Kinnikuman follows a bumbling protagonist whose true identity is Suguru Kinniku. He learns that he is the missing prince of the extraordinary royal family on the planet Kinniku. This planet is a remote place known for creating the greatest superheroes in the universe. To prove his worthiness for the throne, Kinnikuman participates in several wrestling tournaments and fights many evil supermen.
