Demon Slayer's Tanjiro, Muichiro & Mitsuri become cover models for best-selling women's magazine

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Tanjiro, Muichiro and Mitsuri will appear on the cover of an upcoming issue of a major Japanese fashion and lifestyle magazine. The magazine release will follow the Season 4 premiere of Demon Slayer, which is scheduled to release this month.

Per Comic Natalie, a special edition of An An magazine — the best-selling women's fashion and lifestyle magazine and one of Japan's best-selling magazines in the country — will include includes an expandable cover featuring three additional characters: Inosuke, Zenitsu and Nezuko. There is also an eight-page feature that includes interviews with the voice actors discussing the upcoming anime season of Demon Slayer: To the Hashira Training Arc. An An's upcoming Demon Slayer issue is available for international pre-order on Amazon and is priced at 780 yen — about US$5.07. The special edition issue will hit stores and begin shipping on May 15, three days after Demon Slayer's highly anticipated Season 4 premiere on May 12.

The demon slayer has appeared twice on the cover of Japan's An An magazine

Originally founded as a Japanese sister magazine to the French women's fashion and lifestyle magazine Elle, An An also occasionally publishes anime stories from major series—typically have been successfully exported for collectible value, such as Jujutsu Kaisen and Chainsaw Man. This is Demon Slayer's third An An feature, having previously received two other special editions (see above) to promote Demon Slayer: Mugen Train, which featured cover art by Tanjiro and Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku, and Demon Slayer: Entertainment District Arc, featuring cover art with Tanjiro and Sound Hashira Tengen Uzui.

Inosuke and Zenitsu will return as Demon Slayers after being absent from Part 3

The upcoming issue's cover art features Tanjiro alongside Mist Hashira Muichiro Tokito and Love Hashira Mitsuri Kanroji, whom he fought alongside in the most recent season, Demon Slayer: To the Swordsmith Village. The expandable cover reveals Tanjiro's sister, Nezuko Kamado, and fellow demon slayers/villains Inosuke Hashibira and Zenitsu Agatsuma, which is a cute nod to the return of the latter two. Inosuke and Zenitsu were absent and sorely missed last season but will make an exciting return in the upcoming Hashira Training arc, which will likely be discussed in an eight-page feature interviewing the cast voiceover.

VAs Natsuki Hanae (Tanjiro Kamado), Akari Kito (Nezuko Kamado), Hiroshi Shimono (Zenitsu Agatsuma), Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (Inosuke Hashibira), Kengo Kawanishi (Muichiro Tokito) and Kana Hanazawa (Mitsuri Kanroji) will discuss the season's content The upcoming tournament has significance for their characters, especially as Tanjiro, Inosuke and Zenitsu enter much more intense training. Meanwhile, Nezuko is adapting to her awakened form, and Muichiro and Mitsuri continue to develop their skills after achieving the demon slayer mark.

Demon Slayer: To the Hashira Training's one-hour season premiere will be released on May 12 on Crunchyroll. Demon Slayer's special An An feature will be released on May 15.

When Tanjiro Kamado returns home to find his family has been attacked and killed by demons, he discovers his sister Nezuko is the only survivor. As Nezuko gradually becomes a demon, Tanjiro sets out to find a way to cure her and becomes a demon hunter so he can avenge his family.
