Crunchyroll celebrates 2nd Ani-May promotion with new retail, digital and streaming offers

Crunchyroll is rolling out its second annual Ani-May celebration with new promotions across retail, digital and streaming channels. This includes new and exclusive anime merchandise and activities at Hot Topic in the US, Riachuelo in Brazil as well as exclusive retail activations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, among others.

Throughout May, fans can expect a variety of officially licensed merchandise from some of Crunchyroll's favorite series. This includes everything from Black Butler merchandise, Tokyo Ghoul, Chainsaw Man, Jujutsu Kaisen, Spy x Family, Solo Leveling and many other series. Fans can expect to find tons of merchandise from a variety of shows across multiple retailers.

Details on Ani-May 2024 activities and partnerships in the United States, Latin America and many other countries are listed below:

North America

• Specialty retailer Hot Topic will celebrate Ani-May across its retail and online stores in the United States and Canada with month-long activations and special promotions, including including exclusive anime merchandise, limited edition Crunchyroll Hime sticker giveaways with anime purchases (available in stores only and while supplies last), and a fun Discord show hosted by TheAnimeMen. Fans can sign up here to receive Hot Topic emails and access the Hot Topic Discord for all-time viewing, AMAs, and exclusive giveaways. • Barnes & Noble stores in the US will host the Ani-May sale on select DVD and Blu-Ray titles both online and in stores nationwide.

Latin America

• Gameplanet stores in Mexico will feature special digital signage products and home goods from the fan-favorite anime series. • Grupo Control in Mexico will carry a variety of apparel including t-shirts, jackets and pants from the most popular anime titles to stores with dedicated product displays. • Riachuelo will offer fans in Brazil digital and in-store signage as well as special t-shirts at launch at their FanLab Store. • Falabella in Peru will offer T-shirts to fans on the market for the first time throughout the month of May.

Europe

In Europe, select Ani-May retailers will give anime fans the chance to fully experience the Crunchyroll lifestyle and win a special prize: an amazing weekend in Paris with VIP access to the Crunchyroll booth at the Japan Expo.

• HMV will brand 120 stores and bring tons of anime merchandise for the occasion for fans in the UK, Ireland and Belgium. May will also see the exclusive early release of a range of home entertainment, including Mob Psycho Season 3 DVD, Blu-ray & Limited Edition, KONOSUBA — An Explosion on This Wonderful World!, Uzaki -chan Wants to Hang Out! — Blu-ray Part 1, Uzaki-chan wants to go out! — Season 2 and Limited Edition Blu-rays, as well as a variety of catalog titles at discounted prices. • Games Academy and Funside stores in Italy will activate their 50 stores as well as their online community with more surprises available on their app. • Cultura will announce its anime and manga merchandise throughout the month with specific branded sections in 105 stores across France. • El Corte Ingles will invite the Spanish enthusiast community to come to the store and discover a variety of anime products at 8 leading locations. • Thalia in Germany and Austria will focus on manga, exclusive merchandise and family entertainment offerings for Jujutsu Kaisen, Kaiju No.8, Spy x Family, Chainsaw Man, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba and Hell's Paradise on 200 stores. • Gamestop in 70 participating German stores will offer an exclusive ironing board item to any customer who purchases more than 2 Crunchyroll items during Ani-May. • MediaSaturn will bring German comic fans, exclusive merchandise and home entertainment to Jujutsu Kaisen, Spy x Family and Chainsaw Man across 400 stores. • Mueller will for the first time make available the entire catalog of fan-favorite Crunchyroll manga titles like Jujutsu Kaisen, Spy x Family, Blue Lock, Choujin X, Dandadan and more to fans in Germany and Shirt. • Hugendubel will introduce exclusive Crunchyroll merchandise in 30 stores across Germany for Jujutsu Kaisen, Spy x Family and Chainsaw Man. • XS Toys in Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia will participate in promotions across 25 selected stores. The leading toy retailer in the Baltic region will have a special selection of plush items, statues and collectibles from various Crunchyroll titles.

The Crunchyroll Store will also offer fans in the US, Australia and New Zealand a wide selection of new releases, discounts and special promotions for Ani-May 2024, with New introductions every week.

As for the Crunchyroll Store in the US, fans can enjoy up to 60% off on home video purchases, starting May 1 through May 14, and the Ani-anniversary sale. Sew with up to 70% off select items starting May 15.

While supplies last, fans can also receive a free and exclusive Hime Ani-May 2024 pin on all orders over $75 starting May 1, 2024.
